Ever since spotting the malachite curtains in Sally Wheat's recent project above, I've noticed malachite-inspired fabrics everywhere! I'm loving the deep jewel-tone these fabrics bring to a room.
Did you know that the mineral malachite is actually a copper hydroxyl carbonate that crystalizes to create that rich green color? It’s been used throughout history for decorative objects, and often runs a pretty penny. So faux malachite brought in with fabrics is a great way to get the look!
The fabric above can be found at Spoonflower, and at only $18/yd it's a steal! I could really see a few chic pillows adding a fab touch to a room.

LOVE the fabric! So vibrant and lux. I've totally noticed a resurgence of the stone and I think it's definitely due!!
It's such a great colour and the movement is awesome. There are so many great DIY projects around on how to recreate these patterns and colour on paper. Ive been meaning to try one to get the look too!
I think I need a tutorial on how to pronounce malachite - I'm surely saying it wrong.
