{the many styles of roman shades}

I LOVE the look of romans. They instantly add a bit of softness to the hard straight lines of a window. There are so many styles and variations out there, here I've listed 5 shades we seem to see most frequently:





And my current personal FAVORITE:


I think we all collectively gasped when we laid eyes on these banded romans featured in the current issue of Lonny. So tailored and crisp!

very helpful post, thank you. My favourite is the contemporary australian opera-it looks less formal which I like. It's good to know proper names for roman shades, I learned something new and thank you for that :)
